Dabangg all set to reach the Rs 100 crore mark

Dabangg all set to reach the Rs 100 crore markDabangg has turned out to be one of those rare films that have super-hit written on them right from the time their promotion begins.

However, what has also worked in favour of 'Dabangg' is that curiosity around this film has increased exponentially with every passing week.

This clearly indicates perfect planning that has gone into pitching this film to it's target audience because after the initial euphoria created by the first theatrical promo, even the subsequent songs and snippets from the film have come for good reactions.

Moreover, Salman Khan too has gone all out to promote the film and has surpassed the effort that he had put into 'Wanted'.

By doing so, he has proved once again that if he is disinterested in a film, it shows but when he is supremely interested in a film, there is nothing that can surpass his enthusiasm.

Currently, it is Salman wave all around and he is easily the most talked about superstar this season. No wonder it is not just the single screen audience but even multiplex crowds which is rooting for 'Dabangg' to arrive.

Such all around craze around 'Dabangg' means that Salman Khan is all set to get the biggest opening ever in his two decade long career.

Not just that, 'Dabangg' should easily break the 55 crores first week record of the year that was made by 'Raajneeti'. With such huge opening being a given, the solo release status that 'Dabangg' enjoys and no release in the subsequent week, sky is the limit for the film.

All that is expected from the film now is for it to be really good and if that is indeed the case, there won't be any stopping Salman Khan.

In fact it won't be wrong to say that expectedly good merits of the film may well make it the biggest grosser of the year so far, hence bringing it closer to the life time total of 100 crores. Are these expectations too high for an action film? Not really. Remember 'Ghajini'? It had comfortably topped 100 crores and that too a couple of years back.
